The Interior Health Pharmacy Residency Program is a Year 1 pharmacy residency that offers unparalleled opportunities to learn in both inpatient and ambulatory practice settings and in large tertiary care academic teaching hospitals, as well as smaller, rural hospitals.
Located in beautiful Kelowna and Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, we offer a dynamic and exciting residency experience. Residents in our Program learn from motivated and dedicated preceptors, many of whom have won awards for their precepting and teaching. Given the breadth of their residency experience, graduates from our program are well positioned to work as clinical pharmacists in diverse practice settings upon graduation. Our Program is accredited with the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board.
The majority of residency rotations and activities take place at Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) in Kelowna and Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) in Kamloops. Our residents also have an opportunity to complete rotations at other hospitals within Interior Health, enhancing the diversity of their residency experience. KGH and RIH are the major tertiary care, university-affiliated teaching hospitals in the Southern Interior of British Columbia.
